Poster and Magazine Mock Up

This mock up shows the relevant name and scene changes that have had to be made to the film. It identifies to the audience the ideas and concepts that we intend to use and follow throughout the production of the film. There is also another film magazine review that we looked at for inspiration so the poster can reflect the magazine ideas but the other two films are the actual poster ideas.

We have taken the main idea of our poster from the film Adulthood and Shank. We have decided to take the image for the poster in a park with the three main characters but making sure that the two boys are being highlighted more than the girl. The colour scheme of the magazine will compliment the clothing of the characters so when we have worked out what the characters are going to be wearing then we can work on the colours for the posters there. If any changes need to be made to the design of the poster then they will be included on here and explained. The image for the poster has not been taken so this mock up is a rough idea of where everything is but when it comes to actually constructing the poster then we can see if we need to make any changes to the mock up and then we can make them.

As Adulthood is the main inspiration for our movie we are looking to make our poster look similar to that but it will obviously have our own twist on there with the images we took. When it comes to the images on our poster, we would hopefully like to take them mid-afternoon going towards the evening to make the audience see how we are trying to put in this element of mischief and trouble with it. The poster really needs to help play on the idea of dreams and obstacles that the individual will face both personally and morally and if there are any solutions to overcome these obstacles.

This is another update of the magazine mock up because when it came down to actually designing the magazine review. The image used in the article does not fit in with the design of the original mock up so by changing it around it seemed to fit a lot better so the original mock up had to be changed as well.

On this mock-up we have now included a title for the magazine article as we had forgotten to do so on the previous version of the mock-up. Any additional changes will be updated on the blog as well as the mock-ups. It is still quite difficult to piece things together seeing as we have not taken any photographs and do not have a fixed colour scheme. When we come to take the photographs we will have to make sure that the actors/actress are wearing appropriate clothes and colours that we will be able to work with.

This is a mock up of the double page review that we want to include there. We have not taken the images so it is harder to know where we are going place things specifically but any necessary changes will be updated on the blog and explained. The double page review needs to be as informative and realistic as possible and we might make it as if it was an article out of Empire magazine. even though Avatar is not the same genre as our film we looked at this magazine for inspiration because of the layout and the quality of the review.
